- Collaborate closely with IT and system users to continuously enhance, update, and evolve underwriting support systems, identifying opportunities for technological improvements and participating in the development and implementation of system upgrades.
- Maintain and manage the business partner database, ensuring information remains current and comprehensive, including the regular updating of sanctions-related data to support compliance and risk management activities.
- Drive initiatives to globalise, streamline, and automate underwriting processes wherever feasible, identifying and implementing best practices and technological solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
- Design and deliver training sessions and educational resources for users involved in the underwriting process, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ensuring high standards of process understanding and compliance throughout the organisation.
- Actively participate in cross-functional projects, representing the underwriting function and providing subject matter expertise to ensure that underwriting considerations are integrated into broader business initiatives and change programmes.
- Take responsibility for specific elements of the quarterly book closing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of underwriting-related deliverables and supporting the finance team in achieving reliable financial reporting outcomes.
