Payroll Specialist
We are looking for a driven and ambitious Payroll Specialist to join our Global Operations Team. Based at our office in either central Helsinki or in central Stockholm, you’ll report to our EMEA Payroll Manager and closely collaborate with our Global payroll provider, our Global Operations team as well as with our Nordic HR team.
You will manage the day-to-day payroll operations for the Nordic Countries (Sweden, Finland, Norway and Sweden) and be an integral part of our Payroll Transformation across European Countries. It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team
The Team and the Role
Our payroll operations team consists of highly skilled experts operating across a larger geography, supported by operations team as well as by our external payroll provider.
Selection of duties that the Payroll Specialist will be managing:
- Provide Time Management, payroll oversight with outsourced vendor and service partner and monitoring leave management
- Work together with international tax advisors for compensation schedules of expatriates and employees with split salaries. Ensure to be advised on planning, compliance and reporting related to tax assessment.
- Manage Employee Inquiries related to Pay and Time or support our HR Shared Service Center where it is their responsibility
- In charge of oversight or execution of HR reports related to C&B requested by local authorities and HQ
- Provide F&A dept with HR C&B related data to facilitate bookings and statistical reports to authorities.
- Oversight Declarations of withholding tax and social charges
- Relations with vendors organizations for legal monitoring, audits and admin control.
- Oversight for timely execution of Periodic declarations
- Management of LTI (stock options), various bonuses
- Involved and support the wider payroll transformation project
What we’re looking for

You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in Payroll (domestically or Nordic) and capable to work with Payroll Vendors in an outsourced model
- Good understanding of the Nordic payroll landscape and how to navigate and seek information about current legislations.
- Good knowledge of salary and benefit practices in one or more Nordic countries
- Excellent English communication skills required and one or more of the Nordics languages preferred.
Plus is:
- Communication skills in more than one Nordic language
- Experience with Workday HCM is a plus
- Significant work experience in international environments.
