Our underwriting teams set us apart. Our experienced underwriting professionals use their specialized expertise to underwrite even the most complex risks innovatively and we are now looking for a Casualty Underwriter for the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland).

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Underwriting and enhancing the Upper Middle Market segment of the Nordic Casualty portfolio in line with strategy
  • Be part of developing the offering of this product line, for the Upper Middle Market segment, as a part of AXA XL Nordic Casualty Lines and in conjunction with other Product lines when appropriate
  • Be part of developing and managing the distribution channels for this product line, for the Upper Middle Market segment
  • Assist with enhancing and managing policy wordings for this product line, for the Upper Middle Market segment

You will be based in the AXA XL Stockholm office or AXA XL Copenhagen office as appropriate and will report to the Casualty Underwriting Manager for the Nordics.

SHARE your talent

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Some 1-3 years of relevant Casualty underwriting experience in a Nordic country. Alternatively, some 2-4 years of experience with Commercial insurance in other relevant way in a Nordic country with an interest in developing into Casualty Underwriting
  • Preferred university degree in law, finance/business, insurance or other related fields, or qualification by experience
  • IT literacy, Microsoft Office package literacy as a minimum
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and at least one Nordic language Swedish, Norwegian or Danish. Knowledge in German and/or French is an advantage
  • Negotiation skills and a solution-oriented approach
  • Passionate about doing business and driving growth in a competitive market
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize with both individual and the team’s best interests in mind
