One of our existing Property Underwriters is proceeding in AIG’s global organization and we are now looking for a replacement. The position is based in Stockholm and will offer great variety in underwriting challenges. The bulk of the workload will be on Swedish accounts but also across the Nordic region. The Nordic Property team is part of a global property family which results in international relations, connectivity and opportunities.

AIG Nordic Property team

AIG Property team consist of five underwriters across the Nordic cluster who possess long experience from the Property field. The team manage the property book in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and in Russia. The Nordic Property team works closely with the Nordic Property Engineering team as well as our Nordic Property Claims team, teams that are based across the Nordic cluster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwriting of the assigned risks
  • Portfolio management of the assigned book of business
  • Targeting of new business
  • Relationship management with clients and brokers
  • Work within agreed decision-making standards, limitations, authorities and underwriting guidelines.
  • Risk engineering and loss prevention – the underwriter is expected to work close with our engineering team.


Position requirements

We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude and an innovative mindset. In addition, we are looking for someone with

  • Few years property underwriting experience (or related experience as broker, claims adjuster, risk engineer etc).  
  • University degree in engineering, finance or equal
  • Possess relationship management and strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
     

Preferred:

  • Other Nordic language skills is preferred, such as Finnish or Danish.
  • Excellent excel skills
