Consumer insurance is a growth area for AIG in the Nordics and we are now looking to expand our team within the product area Personal Insurance. The Distribution Partner (DP) in the Nordics is responsible for developing partnerships with organizations that have a large customer/prospect database (typically for PA, Travel or Service Programs) and/or appropriate distribution networks that are suitable for offering and selling Consumer insurance products. The DP is also responsible for implementation and managing the ongoing relationship with a business partner once the deal has been closed. The performance of the DP will be linked to certain activity metrics to identify, prospect and close deals with partners and also to the implementation of marketing campaigns to generate premium linked to a budget.

Job Description:

  • Manages the growth of existing relationships and initiates new partnerships aligned to local insurance product appetite and capability
  • Manages a pipeline of opportunities, both with existing and new partners, that clearly articulate business partnership value, risk and status throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Strategically manage relationships with clients, sponsors and brokers at a country level
  • Implement new business deals
  • Project management skills
  • Implement distribution strategies across Nordics, coordinate such implementation with local and regional resources
  • Implement metrics to measure and manage existing partners, clients and brokers
  • Managing the client interfaces and interactions within Nordics for Personal Insurance
  • Drive business opportunities with existing partners to build out businesses in key markets around the world
  • Ensure alignment of business strategies and activities with the requirements of applicable local regulations and corporate guidelines
  • Implements policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Drives the people plan and diversity initiatives
  • Drive the delivery of the major initiatives required to ensure the success of key partnerships

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrable track record of successful client management and client acquisition in the Nordic marketplace
  • Experience within Affinity Insurance Programs
  • Business Degree 
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in consumer insurance or financial services in customer facing roles
  • Structured and strong planning and strategy development skills
  • Excellent relationships within the Nordic insurance community
  • Strong execution and results orientation
  • Used to work in a matrix organization with many stake holders at all levels in the organization
  • Has a track record of successfully leading and managing people in a matrix organization, working through others to achieve results.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills. Ability to influence clients, producers, peer executives and staff
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to work across interdisciplinary teams that are geographically dispersed
  • Ability to drive a sales pipeline and deliver results
  • Ability to work across multiple areas of the company
  • Strong field orientation and ability to lead from front and execute strategies
  • Fluent in English and one or more Scandinavian languages
  • Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability
  • External thought leader
